M.R.P.D Government College Talwara Concludes 12-Day Workshop “The Modern Professional Vibes” with Grand Prize Distribution

Talwara-Hoshiarpur,12 April ( Arsh ) : The Department of English at M.R.P.D Government College, Talwara successfully concluded its 12-day intensive workshop titled “The Modern Professional Vibes”n held from March 24 to April 9, 2026 with a grand prize distribution ceremony on April 11, 2026.

The workshop was organized under the dynamic leadership and constant encouragement of Principal Dr. Rajeev Khosla whose vision for student development played a pivotal role in the success of the event.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Khosla motivated the participating students of B.Sc Semester Fourth to understand that academic qualifications alone are not enough in today’s competitive world. He emphasized the importance of developing professional skills, ethical values, confidence and effective communication to succeed in a global environment.
His inspiring words encouraged students to adopt a modern professional outlook and strive for excellence in every sphere of life.
Head of the Department of English Prof. Akbal Singh expressed gratitude to the Principal for his unwavering support and guidance. He also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the faculty members, including Prof. Dalvinder Pal Singh, Prof. Jatinder Kumar, College Registrar Prof. Ajay Kumar Arsh whose collective efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the workshop.

The workshop featured a series of competitions designed to enhance students’ practical and professional skills.
In PPT Presentation, Varda Singh secured first position while Suhani and Tanisha Devi stood second and Prachi secured third place.
In CV Writing, Aenakshi bagged the first prize, followed by Suparv Dev Singh and Ravinder Kaur in second place, while Harpreet Kaur stood third.
In Model Making, Anamika secured first position, Heena Kumari and Simran Kaur stood second and Kajal Choudhary and Vanshita Thakur secured third place.
In Chart Making, Prachi emerged as the winner, while Mansi and Kanchan Choudhary secured second position and Priya stood third.
In the Interview Round, Twinkle claimed the top spot, followed by Suparv Dev Singh & Ravinder Kaur in second place, while Kashish Choudhary secured third position.

A major highlight of the workshop was the Group Discussion sessions, where students deliberated on contemporary and globally relevant issues such as mental health, the influence of social media, the future role of artificial intelligence and current geopolitical conflicts. Group 1st secured first position, Group 3rd stood second, while Group 2nd and Group 4th jointly secured third place.
