President Murmu condoles loss of lives in Bihar road accident

NEW DELHI: (Apr 12) President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday condoled the loss of lives in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred in Bihar and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured.

At least 13 people were killed and 30 others injured following a collision involving a bus, a truck, and a pickup van in Bihar's Katihar district on Saturday evening, a police officer said.

"The news of the deaths of people in a road accident in Katihar, Bihar, is extremely painful. I express my condolences to the bereaved families and pray that all the injured persons recover swiftly," Murmu said in a post on X in Hindi.
