Jyotirao Phule dedicated life to ideals of equality and justice: PM

NEW DELHI: (Apr 11) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tributes to social reformer Jyotirao Phule on his birth anniversary and said his life was dedicated to the ideals of equality, justice and education.

Modi also paid homage to Phule at his statue in the Parliament House complex and said his ideals will continue to give strength and hope to countless people.

The prime minister said Phule was a pioneer in championing the rights of women and the marginalised.
