Jyotirao Phule's life unique example of social transformation: Annpurna Devi

NEW DELHI: (Apr 11) Union Women and Child Development Minister Annpurna Devi on Saturday paid tributes to social reformer Mahatma Jyotirao Phule on his birth anniversary, describing his life as a unique example of dedication and social justice and transformation through education.

Devi said that on the 200th birth anniversary year, the nation reaffirms its resolve to build an egalitarian, educated and empowered India by imbibing his ideals.

Phule was born on April 11, 1827, in Maharashtra and died on November 28, 1890.
