Odisha’s Industrial Leap: CM Majhi Launches 36 Projects Worth ₹40,811 Crore in Khordha and Cuttack

In a major boost to the state’s "Samrudh Odisha" vision, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 36 high-impact industrial projects across the Khordha and Cuttack districts. Representing a massive combined investment of ₹40,811 Crore, these initiatives are projected to generate over 59,000 employment opportunities for the youth of Odisha.
The ceremony, held in the presence of senior government officials and industry leaders, marked a pivotal moment in the state’s roadmap toward becoming a global manufacturing hub. The projects span a wide array of sectors, including renewable energy, textiles, food processing, heavy engineering, and chemicals.

Speaking at the event, CM Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized that the state is entering a "Golden Era" of industrialization.
"Our mission is simple: to create a prosperous Odisha where every youth finds an opportunity at their doorstep. Today’s projects are not just numbers; they represent the dreams and livelihoods of over 59,000 families."
Immediate Impact: 11 Projects Inaugurated
The Chief Minister officially inaugurated 11 projects that are now ready for commercial operations. Highlighting the state's shift toward sustainable energy, Ampin Solar One Private Limited and Calderys India Refractories were among the top names to begin their journey. The textile sector also saw a major surge with the launch of facilities by Page Industries Ltd and Trimetro Garments (EPIC Group), promising thousands of jobs specifically for women in the region.
Building for the Future: 25 Groundbreaking Ceremonies
The event also saw the "Bhoomi Pujan" for 25 new projects, including a massive investment by the Adani Group through Orissa Thermal Energy Limited. Global and national giants such as Yokohama (ATC Tyres), Luminous Industries, and Ambuja Concrete also broke ground on their new facilities.
