Iran-US ceasefire welcome step toward peace : Mirwaiz Umar Farooq

Srinagar, Apr 8: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday welcomed the two-week ceasefire announced between Iran and the United States, terming it a positive step towards peace.
In a post X, Mirwaiz said the development underscores that restraint and dialogue take precedence over confrontation in conflict resolution, and that peace prevails over war.
"The resilience and courage shown by the Iranian people and leadership in the face of extreme aggression is commendable," Mirwaiz said, extending congratulations to Iran and all actors, including Islamabad, for facilitating the crucial ceasefire.
"May this lead to lasting stability and greater dialogue over conflict," he added.
