All kilns in the district to be completely closed from May 20, strong decision of the kiln association.

Lehragaga, April 7 (Suresh Jawahar Wala) Under a major decision related to the kiln industry of the area, the kiln association block Lehragaga has taken an important and strong stand and announced that all the kilns in the district will be completely closed from May 20, 2026. This decision was taken unanimously during a special meeting held under the chairmanship of President Ashwani Kumar Ashu at the local hotel American Hill.
The meeting was specially attended by District President Sardar Harvinder Singh Sekho along with his colleagues and the current situation of the industry was discussed in detail. The kiln owners raised the continuously increasing coal prices, labor costs and other financial pressures as the main challenges.
During this, it was also decided that bricks will be sold only at the DC rate of Rs 8400 fixed by the government. The association clarified that no kiln owner will sell at less than this rate and if anyone is found violating, strict action will be taken against him.
The leaders of the association said that these decisions have been taken to save the kiln industry and protect the owners from the losses. They said that in the current circumstances, the industry can be saved only by coming together.
All the kiln owners present in the meeting demonstrated unity and assured to implement every decision of the association. On this occasion, many prominent kiln owners including Hemant Honey, Sandeep Deepu were also present.
According to experts, this decision can have a big impact on the price of bricks and the construction sector in the coming time.
