CRPF Constable Killed in Accidental Firing in Poonch Sector

Poonch, April 7: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was killed in an accidental firing incident in the Poonch sector on Tuesday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Constable (GD) Abdul Gani of the 38 Battalion, a resident of Chak Dayala in Samba district.
According to officials, preliminary findings suggest that the incident occurred due to an accidental discharge of a weapon. However, the exact circumstances leading to the firing are yet to be determined.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident, and further details are awaited as investigations are currently underway.
