CRPF Convoy comes to Attack People?

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee alleged that a convoy of over 200 CRPF vehicles from Uttar Pradesh was brought into the state to "attack people". She targeted the central forces, claiming this action was intended to create fear among voters.
The BJP criticized Mamata Banerjee's remarks as provocative and a form of "fear-mongering," while supporting the "duty meets devotion" narrative of the forces stopping in Ayodhya.
The Union Home Ministry has authorized a record deployment of over 2,400 companies (roughly 2 lakh+ personnel) of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for the 2026 election, to be completed by April 17.
