4 arrested including BJP leader’s son, Lehra police take major action in gambling and liquor case in rice mill.

Lehragaga, April 6 (Suresh Jawahar wala) Lehra Police DSP Sardar Ranbir Singh informed that Lehra Police is continuously conducting a campaign against drugs and bad elements. He further informed that Lehra Police has taken a major action and arrested four persons in gambling and liquor case by raiding a rice mill located on Jakhal Road. The police have also recovered English liquor and a large amount of cash from the spot.
According to the information received, Assistant Police Station Officer Amrit Lal was patrolling Jakhal Road along with his police party. During this, he received specific information from an informant that some people were gambling and drinking liquor in Singla Rice Mill. On receiving the information, the police took immediate action and raided the spot.
During the raid, the police arrested Ashok Kumar son of Satpal, resident of Ward No. 1, Surinder Kumar son of Jagan Nath, resident of Ward No. 13, Rakesh Kumar son of Hari Chand, resident of Ward No. 3, Lehragaga, and Deepak Garg son of Raj Kumar, resident of Ward No. 2, Jakhal. The police recovered liquor and cash from the spot and registered a case against them under the Gambling Act and Excise Act.
According to sources, the arrested Ashok Kumar is said to be the son of local senior BJP leader Satpal Singla, due to which this case has become a topic of discussion in the area.
The police are investigating the case thoroughly and the possibility of more revelations is being expressed.
