Vinod Jakhar Leads NSUI Campaign in Kerala, Backs Youth Leadership in Assembly Polls

Vinod Jakhar, National President of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), has intensified the party’s campaign efforts in Kerala, expressing heartfelt gratitude to senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for promoting youth participation in active politics. Jakhar particularly appreciated the decision to field KSU (NSUI) Kozhikode District President V T Sooraj as a candidate in the upcoming Kerala State Assembly elections, calling it a “bold and visionary step” toward empowering young leadership.

As part of the ongoing campaign, Jakhar led a vibrant morning walk outreach program, connecting directly with the people and energizing party workers on the ground. The campaign was joined by KSU State President Dr. Aloshious Xavier and former NSUI State In-charge Anulekha Boosa, along with enthusiastic participation from KSU cadres. The event highlighted the growing momentum of student and youth organizations rallying behind the Congress-led alliance.

Addressing the public, Jakhar launched a sharp attack on the government led by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He alleged that the CPI(M)-led administration has failed to meet the aspirations of the people and has lost credibility due to what he described as a “hidden and questionable understanding” with the central government. According to him, such political compromises have weakened governance and betrayed public trust.

Jakhar emphasized that the youth of Kerala are now seeking transparency, development, and accountable leadership. He expressed strong confidence that the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) will secure a decisive mandate in the upcoming elections. He stated that the rising dissatisfaction among citizens, particularly the youth, will translate into overwhelming support for the UDF.

The campaign reflects NSUI’s strategic push to bring young leaders into the mainstream political arena while strengthening its grassroots presence. With renewed energy and a clear focus on youth empowerment, the organization aims to play a crucial role in shaping the political future of Kerala.
