𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆-𝗔𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻

𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆-𝗔𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻

On 30.03.2026, the Attapur Police apprehended one accused within 48 hours for committing sexual assault on a deaf and physically disabled woman at Hasan Nagar, Attapur, under the limits of PS Attapur, Hyderabad. The accused has been identified as Mohammed Aqueel (35 yrs), a labourer, resident of Shai Nagar, Barkas, Chandrayangutta, Hyderabad. Relevant material evidence, including the clothes of the accused, has been seized.

The investigation revealed that the accused, who is a relative of the victim, took advantage of the victim being alone at home on 28.03.2026. He unlawfully entered the house and forcibly committed sexual assault against her will. The victim, being deaf and physically disabled, communicated the incident through signs and gestures to the complainant, which established a prima facie case against the accused under relevant provisions of law.

The arrest was made under the supervision of Sri S. Sreenivas, IPS, DCP Rajendranagar Zone, along with ACP Rajendranagar Division and SHO Attapur with their team. The prompt action of the police in swiftly apprehending the accused is commendable. Further investigation is in progress.
