Sirjina Uchhab to be held in Bheunria village Literary Sushant Mishra will receive the Sirjina Award.
Sirjina Sahitya and Sanskriti Abhiyya Padampur, the leading institution of Sambalpuri language literature and culture, has organized the final meeting for the 32nd Sirjina Uchhab.
This year, the festival will be held for two days on April 3rd and 4th at Kala Gram Bheunria villge of Padampur Block . Poets, artists, and literary figures from various districts of Western Odisha will participate in large numbers. A drama competition will be held on the 3rd from 6 pm. Four Sambalpuri plays will be performed in it. Similarly, on the 5th, a multilingual poetry evening will be held from 10 am, a seminar in the afternoon, a Samvardhana bhagla in the evening and then a dance, song, and Maharaj Mahamilona will be performed. This year, the distinguished writer and professor Sushant Mishra will be awarded the prestigious "Sirjina Samman" of the institute. Along with this, 20 others will be honored for their outstanding contribution in various fields. Guna Sagar Sahu for poetry, Narendra Mohanty for short stories, Prafulla Panigrahi for essays, Subrata Patnaik and Manas Sahu for acting, Sadanand Meher for Nua Jiha Samman, Gaurang Pandey for literary service, Dahana Sahitya Abhiyati Katapali Bargarh for best literary culture institution, etc. will be honored. Apart from this, proposals have been made to honor Shiv Suna, Shubham Ghibela, Bat Krishna Sahu, Jhas Ketan Meher, and Dahita Ramlila Institute. The meeting was attended by President Aditya Kumar Rath, Working President Bhojraj Budek, Vice Presidents Anand Behera and Jay Kumar Sahu, Editor Rajendra Mohanty, Convenors Debendra Tripathi, Santosh Satpathi, Sanatan Barik Kishore Patra, members and women workers. Finally, Anand Behera proposed the vote of thanks.
