114th Bihar Diwas Celebrated in Pune by Bihar Foundation – Pune Chapter

The Bihar Foundation – Pune Chapter successfully celebrated the 114th Bihar Diwas on 22nd March 2026 in Pune with great enthusiasm, cultural pride, and a strong sense of community participation. The event witnessed the presence of over 1000 members of the Bihari diaspora, making it one of the most vibrant celebrations of Bihar’s cultural heritage in Maharashtra.
The celebration was graced by distinguished guests including Raghubir Shelar, Rahul Dada Kalate, Nilesh Taras, L. R. Yadav, and Abhishek Priyadarshi. In their addresses, the dignitaries highlighted the glorious history of Bihar, acknowledging its rich legacy of knowledge, culture, and leadership. They also appreciated the significant contribution of the Bihari community in the development of Maharashtra and India, recognizing the community’s dedication, hard work, and cultural richness.
The event was chaired by Mr. Sunil Kumar, who applauded the collective efforts of the organizers and the enthusiastic participation of the community members.
A major highlight of the evening was the cultural programme, where artists from the Rangreja Group and other performers presented captivating performances in Bihar’s regional languages such as Maithili, Magahi, and Bhojpuri. The performances beautifully showcased the folk traditions, music, and artistic heritage of Bihar. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the soulful music and energetic performances, celebrating their roots and cultural identity.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note, with the community coming together to enjoy traditional Bihari cuisine, creating an atmosphere of warmth, nostalgia, and unity among attendees.
The successful organization of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the organizing members including Amit Kaushik, Dinesh Singh, Apurv Gourav, Giridhar Singh, Anupama Jha, Lily Jha, Ashok Singh, Nirmal Tiwary, and Ujjawal Tiwary, whose commitment ensured a memorable and meaningful celebration.
The Bihar Foundation – Pune Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Bihar’s rich cultural heritage, strengthening community bonds, and celebrating the achievements of the Bihari diaspora across the country.
