Apologise or face 7-day jail: Maharashtra Council to NCP (SP) leader on remarks against Chairman
MUMBAI: (Mar 25) The Maharashtra Legislative Council on Tuesday passed a motion recommending an apology from NCP (SP) leader Suryakant More for making objectionable remarks against Chairman Ram Shinde and members of the house, failing which he will have to face a seven-day jail term.
In another motion, an apology was also sought from journalists Ganesh Sonawane, Harshada Sonawane, and Amol Nandurkar and Ankush Gawde for making "baseless allegations" through YouTube channel Satya Ladha, failing which the four will have to face a five-day jail term.
BJP member Prasad Lad had moved the motions about More and journalists in the legislative council.
