Arunachal deputy CM hands over e-rickshaws to 40 people under Gram Bandhu initiative

ITANAGAR: (Mar 24) Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein handed over e-rickshaws to 40 people in Namsai district on Tuesday under the Gram Bandu initiative, which aims to boost rural livelihood while promoting eco-friendly modes of transport.

The initiative is being implemented under the revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA), and 40 e-rickshaws have been allocated under the pilot phase of the project, with 20 each for Namsai and East Siang districts, according to an official report.

Speaking on the occasion, Mein said the Gram Bandhu initiative will strengthen rural livelihoods by creating sustainable income opportunities while promoting eco-friendly modes of transport.
