Subject: World Poetry Day Celebrations
On March 24, 2026, the Department of English at Government Degree College, Palvancha (Autonomous) organized the World Poetry Day celebrations under the guidance of the Principal, Professor P. Padma.
On this occasion, students actively participated in various competitions such as drama, debate, and essay writing, and won prizes. Dr. C.H. Leela Soumya presented awards to the winners. Mr. Bhanu Praveen explained the importance of World Poetry Day.
Students including Lahari, Jeevan, Arjun, Yagnashree, Sharath, Jyothirmayi, Apoorva, Deekshitambika, Lavanya, Ayesha, and Nasreen participated in cultural programs, English skits, debates, poetry competitions, singing competitions, and news reading events.
These competitions were successfully conducted, and prizes were distributed to the participants. The event was attended by Principal Professor Polarapu Padma, Head of the Language Department Dr. T. Arunakumari, English Department faculty Dr. C.H. Leela Soumya, Bhanu Praveen, Potla Puvvu Srinivasa Rao, Parelli Srinivas, Kotagiri Rambabu, Dr. Shetty Swaroopa Rani, Immadi Srinu, Babji Khan, along with other faculty members, office staff, and a large number of students, making the program a grand success.
