iLEAD College, Kolkata Organizes “Open House” to Guide Class XII Students on Future Careers

The institute recently hosted an engaging “Open House” event aimed at students who have appeared for their Class XII examinations and are uncertain about choosing between traditional streams like Arts, Science, and Commerce, or exploring more contemporary, career-oriented paths aligned with their interests and strengths.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of several reputed institutions across Kolkata, including Patha Bhavan, Shree Chaitanya Techno School, Hindu School, Kamala Girls’ School, Ramesh Mitra Institution, Lake School for Girls, The Frank Anthony Public School, B.K. Paul’s Institution, and Mitra Institution. Students attended the session along with their parents, making it a comprehensive and interactive experience for families.
A key highlight of the Open House was the introduction of the Japanese concept of Ikigai (生き甲斐), which emphasizes discovering one’s purpose by aligning passion, skills, societal needs, and career opportunities. Through this concept, students were encouraged to reflect deeply on what brings them satisfaction and meaning in life.
The session began with an inspiring address by the Hon’ble Principal of iLEAD College, Prof.Dr. Niloy Sarkar, who emphasized the importance of making informed and passion-driven career choices in today’s rapidly evolving world.
Students were introduced to a range of job-oriented and futuristic courses offered by the institute. The event featured interactive panel discussions, one-on-one conversations with Heads of Departments and faculty members, and open forums where students freely expressed their queries and aspirations.
The Open House concluded on a lively note with a quiz session, where students participated with great enthusiasm and showcased impressive knowledge and teamwork. Winners were awarded gift hampers sponsored by Mahendra Lal Dutt, Royal Jewel Palace, and Sulekha.
The initiative by iLEAD College successfully created a platform for students to explore beyond conventional academic choices and take a step closer to discovering their true potential and career direction.
