Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Embodied Fearless Patriotism and Boundless Courage/Tikshan Sood
**Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Mar.23
On Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh's martyrdom day, former Cabinet Minister and senior BJP leader Tikshan Sood paid floral tribute to him, stating that Bhagat Singh's patriotism and indomitable spirit were unparalleled. This is why the youth regard him as a role model.
Born in 1907, Bhagat Singh was hanged by the cruel British regime at the tender age of just 23. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, where the British killed innocent people, prompted Bhagat Singh to vow to free the country. He avenged Lala Lajpat Rai's death by joining hands with his comrades Sukhdev and Rajguru to eliminate British officer John Saunders, demonstrating to the nation that even at a young age, one can achieve great feats with the fire of patriotism in the heart.
Bhagat Singh, who played with guns since childhood, was not merely a fighter; he believed in freeing India and eradicating inequalities, injustice, and evils like untouchability. While in jail, he undertook a historic 116-day hunger strike to improve conditions there—a feat in itself.
Sood remarked that instead of realizing Bhagat Singh's vision, some politicians today are exploiting his name for gain. If his ideals were truly implemented on the ground, India could rapidly progress to become the world's leading nation.
On this occasion, Shiv Sood, Satish Bawa, Jaspreet (Shri Jassa Bawa), Dikshant Thakur, Sucha Singh, Raja Pandit, Rimpu Saini, Rajinder, Sher Singh, and Sumit joined in offering floral tributes at Bhagat Singh's statue.
