UP: Body of 14-year-old girl found in Saryu River in Ballia; suicide suspected

BALLIA (UP): (Mar 22) In a suspected case of suicide, the body of a 14-year-old girl, who left her home four days ago after an argument with her family, was found under a bridge in the Saryu River here, police said on Sunday.

Passersby spotted the body under the Manjhi Ghat bridge at Chand Diyar village in Ballia district and alerted the police, they said.

Local SHO Rajendra Prasad said the deceased has been identified as Khushi Yadav (14), a resident of Karan Chhapra village, who left her home on March 19 after an argument with her family.
