REVIEW of Bengali movie “Korpur” Directed by #ArindamSil realised on 19th March, 2026 in West Bangal .

* Movie “ Korpur” is a thriller based on a real political incident about the disappearance of Moushumi Sen who was seen in Nepal, as depicted in the story of the film by the Director Arindam Sil.
* Factually the movie indicates Bengal's "political" mystery , the disappearance in 1997 of a senior education official of a famous University just like the Camphor (Korpur), who was believed to be close to his superiors in the then government as a symbol of the complete politicisation of the education system.
* Two decades later, a forgotten case is brought to light again by journalist Anupam. What began as a research project turns into a unique puzzle filled with ulterior motives, political influence, and secrets that some of the persons who want to hide may go to any hight of illegality. Whether Moushumi is alive or murdered?
* Director Arindam Sil's skillful direction elevates this questions in film to a new level and unravels this story full of mysteries. Through this film, Arindam Sil has not only proved himself to be an experienced and Good director but has also brought the actors alive on screen by directing them to give their best performances.
* All the actors have performed well. Especially . #Rituparnasengupta , Central character as Mousumi Sen has given her best performance . Rituparna Sen Gupta, in particular, brings the character of Moushumi Sen to life. As an actress, she masters even the smallest nuances of acting and delivers a composed performance throughout the film. If Rituparna Sen continues to choose the right directors, it is desirable, her career will flourish even more in the future. As usual Saheb Chatterjee is also at his best in Acting.
* The film has a very good screenplay. The editing, cinematography, and background music are perfect for the film and help it meet audience expectations.
* What is Bad- For viewers who enjoy fast-paced commercial thrillers, the pace of the investigation in this movie may be a test of patience.
