Civil Surgeon urges speed to meet Mukhya Mantri Swasthya Yojana targets on time

Hoshiarpur Civil Surgeon Dr. Mandeep Kamal today held a video conference with all senior medical officers of the district to review progress under the Mukhya Mantri Swasthya Yojana (MMSWY). He directed that the scheme's targets be met by April 13, 2026, under all circumstances.The Civil Surgeon commended blocks where ASHA workers have prepared a high number of cards, noting that their efforts have also been praised by the Deputy Commissioner. He instructed blocks with low progress to immediately improve their working methods and enhance monitoring of ASHA workers.He emphasized that at least 25 cards must be made daily for OPD patients through Community Health Officers at Health and Wellness Centres, with regular reviews of this work.The Civil Surgeon informed that the district has a target of 2.31 lakh cards, of which about 70,000 remain to be made. He urged all health staff to accelerate the campaign through teamwork to achieve the goal.During the meeting, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Ranjit Singh and Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Swati Shemar also addressed the SMOs, asking them to hasten progress and seek district-level guidance if needed.Finally, the Civil Surgeon directed all officers to review daily progress and ensure targets are met within the stipulated time.
