Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh Meets Nitin Gadkari, Seeks Major Road Projects for Constituency
New Delhi: Adilabad Member of Parliament Godam Nagesh met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and sought the Centre’s support for several key road infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening connectivity and accelerating development across the Adilabad Parliamentary constituency.
During the meeting, the MP submitted detailed proposals highlighting the urgent need for expansion and modernization of major road networks that connect remote and rural regions with economic hubs.
Among the key demands, Godam Nagesh requested the upgradation of NH-44 (Boraj) to Mahur via Jamdapur, Bhimpur, Arli and Karanji. He also urged the Union Minister to consider conversion and upgradation of the Bhimpur–Karanji road into a National Highway to improve inter-state and regional transport facilities.
The MP further appealed for the upgradation of the Old NH-7 stretch from Mavala to Chanda, stating that modernization of this corridor would significantly benefit trade, transport, and daily commuters.
Emphasizing the rapid growth of traffic movement, he also sought approval for four-laning of NH-44 up to Upasnala to ease congestion and ensure safer travel.
In addition, Godam Nagesh requested support for other essential infrastructure works to strengthen road connectivity in interior areas, stating that improved transport networks are crucial for industrial development, employment generation, and overall regional progress.
The Union Minister assured that the proposals would be examined as per feasibility and priority under national highway development plans.
