NEW EXPRESS TRAIN BETWEEN HATIA AND DURG VIA ROURKELA AND RAIPUR TO IMPROVE REGIONAL RAIL CONNECTIVITY

Indian Railways has introduced a regular Express train service between Hatia and Durg, improving rail connectivity across Jharkhand, Odisha and Chhattisgarh. The train will run via major stations including Rourkela, Jharsuguda and Raipur, benefiting passengers travelling across key industrial and commercial hubs in eastern and central India.

The service is expected to enhance travel convenience for daily commuters, business travellers and students moving between the regions. The route covers a distance of around 620 kilometres, linking several important railway junctions along the way.
According to railway information, the train departs from Hatia at around 8:05 PM and reaches Durg early the next morning, offering an overnight travel option for passengers.

Major stoppages along the route include Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Raigarh, Bilaspur and Raipur, ensuring connectivity for multiple cities in the region.

Officials say the introduction of the regular Express service will strengthen regional rail connectivity and provide a faster, more reliable travel option across the three states.
