Fire Breaks Out in Karyana Shops Near Sub District Hospital Billawar:

Billawar, 15, March — A fire incident was reported in several karyana (grocery) shops located near the Sub District Hospital Billawar on Sunday, creating panic among shopkeepers and local residents in the busy market area.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire suddenly broke out inside one of the shops and quickly spread due to the presence of combustible goods such as packaged food items, plastic containers and other grocery materials. Thick smoke and flames were seen coming out of the building, alarming nearby shopkeepers and residents.
Soon after the incident, local residents and shopkeepers rushed to the spot and tried to control the fire, while authorities were informed immediately. A water tanker and fire control efforts were deployed to prevent the flames from spreading to adjacent shops and buildings.
Several people gathered on the road outside the market area as firefighters and locals worked together to bring the situation under control. Images from the scene show heavy smoke coming out from the upper floor of the building while the ground floor shop suffered major damage.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far, but significant damage to goods and property inside the affected shop is suspected.
