Bargarh Loksabha MP Pradeep Purohit meet Railway Minister regarding Bargarh Nuapada Railwayline

While the people of Padmapur and its surrounding areas have been deprived of this facility for years, Pradeep Purohit, MP from Bargarh Lok Sabha constituency, is making continuous efforts to realize this dream. As a result of MP Purohit's hard work, the Union Cabinet approved the Bargarh-Padmapur-Nuapada Railway Project on 29th August 2024. Under this project, a new railway line of about 138 km in length is planned to be constructed. The Union Government has promised to allocate an expenditure of about Rs 2926 crore for this. The common people have expressed hope that the construction of this railway line will lead to the development of Bargarh, Padmapur and Nuapada and its surrounding areas. But despite the approval of the Union Cabinet, MP Pradeep Purohit has once again taken steps to expedite the work of this project. He met Indian Railway Minister Ashwini Baishnab in New Delhi and discussed the progress of the Bargarh-Padmapur-Nuapada railway project. It is learnt that he has requested the Railway Minister to start this project at the earliest and expedite the work. MP Purohit said during this discussion that the Padmapur region is still deprived of railway facilities and this is a long-standing demand of the people. If this railway is constructed, then the transportation system of the region will be strengthened and there will be a huge development in the business, agriculture and industrial sectors. If this railway is constructed, transportation facilities will be very easy for the people of Bargarh district, Padmapur subdivision and Nuapada district. Along with this, it is expected that a new direction will also open in the economic and social development of the region. MP Pradeep Purohit is being appreciated from different quarters of the region for this effort. Locals say that this initiative by the MP will definitely help in fulfilling the long-standing railway dream of the Padmapur region.
