Justice PS Narasimha lauds book on Indian contract law for providing new perspectives

NEW DELHI: (Mar 14) Supreme Court judge Justice P S Narasimha on Friday applauded a book on the country's contract law for bringing in new perspectives on the subject.

Justice Narasimha was speaking at the launch of the book 'A Historical Introduction to Indian Contract Law' by Shivprasad Swaminathan, Dean at the Shiv Nadar School of Law.

"The perspective in which you (Swaminathan) have handled various topics of the contract act is an eye-opener, and this kind of scholarship is definitely needed for all of us. I was just thinking this approach is definitely to be introduced in interpreting various other laws, particularly administrative law.”
