St. John’s Old Boys’ Association (SJOBA) motor bikes and car rally flagged off at Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab today. Dr B S Satyal Registrar, Mr Vimal Manhotra CEO flagged off the rally. from the university campus.
SJOBA is the official alumni association of St. John’s High School, Chandigarh, an
institution consistently ranked amongst the finest day schools in the country. Over
the decades, SJOBA has grown into one of North India’s most prominent and
respected alumni bodies, with its members including former Union Ministers, Hon’ble
High Court Judges, senior Armed Forces officers, film personalities, international
athletes, leading business figures, professionals and senior bureaucrats.
The Annual SJOBA Rally is the oldest rally of North India. The rally started today and will be over on 15 th of March 2026. The Department of Tourism,
Government of Punjab is an official sponsor of the event. The rally attracts
participation from all over India and over the years it has played a significant role in
spreading awareness about Punjab’s rich, culture, natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma informed that rally of vehicles consists of around 30 Jeeps/ Cars & 60 Motorbikes and all were in high spirit and enthusiasm.
Vice Chancellor Dr A S Chawla said Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab felt the privilege to flag off this rally and esteemed association with this
prestigious national-level event and will do same in future. Chancellor N S Rayat appreciated the famous SJOBA rally and their commitment for welfare of culture and heritage of Punjab.
SJOBA President Kunal Sekhri thanked the university management for their kind cooperation and facilities . Other SJOBA office bearer COC SPS Ghai, DCOC Nagendra Singh,Secretary Siddharth Gupta,
CRO Prabtej Boparai were among the bikers and car rally in the event. Dr V K Saini, (DSW), Sh. Abhishek Dixit ( AGM Hostel) and other official of the university and students were present on the occasion.
