India responded positively to request for assistance in securing fuel supplies: Lanka
COLOMBO: (Mar 13) Sri Lanka on Thursday said India has responded positively to its request for assistance in securing fuel supplies in the possible scenario of continued tensions in West Asia.
Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath made the request when he met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar during his visit to India on March 6, a Foreign Ministry release said.
“The Indian government has responded positively to this request and has further informed that required steps are being taken," it said.
