Attack on Dr. Farooq Abdullah

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday (March 11) narrowly escaped a gun attack during a wedding event in Jammu. Jammu and Kashmir’s Deputy CM Surinder Chaudhary was also accompanying Abdullah when the incident took place. at around 10:30 pm. A man opened fire on the former J&K CM’s when he was leaving the wedding event. As per the police, both leaders escaped unhurt.

CCTV camera captured the exact moment when the accused fired at Abdullah. In the clip,, it could be seen that when the former J&K CM was exiting the hall with his security personnel and other officials, a man suddenly took out his pistol and opened fire. However, the bullet did not hit Abdullah as his security personnel noticed the accused's movement and overpowered him. The suspected gunman has been identified as Kamal Singh Jamwal.
