Malda Railway Division Celebrates International Women’s Day 2026

Malda Division of Eastern Railway celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 with the theme “Give to Gain” with enthusiasm and dignity today at Kalindri Bhawan, under the leadership and guidance of Divisional Railway Manager, Malda, Shri Manish Kumar Gupta.

The event was organised by the Personnel Department under the supervision of Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, Malda, Shri Indrajeet,ensuring smooth coordination and active participation of all departments.

The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Smt. Manisha Gupta, President, Eastern Railway Women's Welfare Organisation,Malda,whose presence inspired and motivated all women employees attending the celebration.

The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp. A melodious welcome song by women employees set a warm and festive beginning to the event, followed by a series of vibrant cultural performances by Guides and women staff members. Their graceful and energetic presentations captivated the audience.

In this occasion an interactive quiz competition was also organised, where participants who answered correctly were encouraged with cash awards, adding excitement and engagement to the celebration.

A key highlight of the day was the felicitation of outstanding women employees from various departments across Malda Railway Division. They were honoured with Merit Certificates and a cash award of ₹1000 each, recognising their dedication and exceptional service.

Addressing the gathering, Smt Manisha Gupta, President , Eastern Railway Women's Welfare Organisation, Malda appreciated the dedication and hard work of the women employees of Malda Railway Division . She highlighted that women employees have consistently demonstrated remarkable performance and commitment in every field, contributing significantly to the smooth functioning and progress of Indian Railways.

The event witnessed large-scale participation from women employees, reflecting unity, pride, and enthusiasm across the division. The celebration concluded with refreshments served to all attendees, marking a memorable and meaningful observance of International Women’s Day 2026.
