Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya has taken serious note of the viral video on social media depicting the Chief Development Officer, Shri Nagendra Narayan Mishra, posted in Etah district, demanding a bribe, and has directed immediate and strict action. Considering the prima facie seriousness of the allegations in the preliminary investigation by the government, departmental proceedings have been initiated against Shri Nagendra Narayan Mishra under Rule 7 of the Uttar Pradesh Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, suspending him.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya clearly stated that the state government is pursuing a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and corruption or irregularities will not be tolerated at any level.

He urged officers and employees posted in the districts to implement government policies and schemes with transparency and honesty, ensuring timely benefits for the general public.

Mr. Maurya also stated that if any officer or employee is found to be involved in corruption by abusing their position, strict action will be taken against them. The government's objective is to make the administrative system transparent, accountable, and in the public interest.

The Deputy Chief Minister directed the concerned departmental officials to ensure a fair and timely investigation of the case, and if the allegations are proven, strict action will be taken as per the rules. He stated that the state government is committed to maintaining cleanliness and honesty in the administrative system, prioritizing public trust.
