Nakula Sahadeva Temple Foundation Festival

Tomorrow, a newly built temple of Nakula Sahadeva is going to be established near Tikra, a suburb of Haldipali village. During the unknown forest life of the five Pandavas described in the Puranas, the two younger brothers Nakula and Sahadeva were the caretakers of King Virat's stables and cattle herds.
Mainly, farmers sing the Viratkand song to get rid of the disease of cows and worship Nakula Sahadeva.
It is heard from the mouth of the people that many years ago, four great sages came to the cows at the head of Haldipali village and advised them to worship Nakula Sahadeva to get rid of the disease of cows. Since that day, Nakula Sahadeva has been worshipped there in a stone statue.
In this village, Devar Sahu, the eldest son of the late Purna Sahu of Tikra, planted a banyan tree there and used to worship the said stone statue under it. And the village has been worshipping it on many different days.
After the demise of Devar Sahu, his wife Sukanti Sahu decided to build a temple at the same place.
To give form to the memory of their father and the mind of the late Mother, his two sons Jashobanta Sahu (Jagat) and Rabi Sahu (Bhakta) have built a magnificent temple and are going to install the statue of Nakula Sahadeva.
Haldipali and the residents of Tikra are cooperating in their great work.
The temple installation festival is going to be celebrated for four days from tomorrow.
