Dead deer rescued from raruan block square

The forest department rescued a dead deer from Raruan block square in Mayurbhanj district early this morning. It is understood that the deer had come to Raruan from the neighboring state of Jharkhand but was mauled by a pack of dogs. At this time, the deer was running away and died after being hit by a vehicle or some other object. The forest department, on receiving the information, rescued the dead deer and took it to the Raruan Veterinary Center and buried it at the forest department section office.
