Rajasthan: Forest department captures tiger after it strays into agricultural fields in Ranthambore

JAIPUR: (Mar 10) A four-year-old male tiger was tranquilised and captured by forest department teams on Monday evening after it ventured into agricultural fields in Ranthambore.

Deputy Conservator of Forests (Ranthambore First Circle) Manas Singh said that the tiger, fitted with a radio collar for monitoring, was the same one sighted near a hotel late on Sunday, after which it had returned to the forest area.

The big cat strayed out on Monday again and was spotted in the fields of Ramsinghpura village. Following information from locals, a forest team rushed to the spot to control the situation. The ream tranquilised the tiger.
