Congratulations to NAJMUN NAHAR

Najmun Nahar has created history by becoming the first ever Bangladeshi to travel to 184 countries. Carrying the red and green flag of Bangladesh across continents, she has also set a remarkable example as one of the pioneering Muslim women in global solo travel, spreading messages of peace, unity, and social awareness around the world.

Her journey as a global explorer began in 2000, when she participated in the India International Adventure Program, marking the beginning of a lifelong mission to see the world. Since then, Najmun has traveled mostly as a solo traveler, exploring the majority of countries by road routes, often crossing borders through challenging terrains and unfamiliar regions.

During her journey, she has faced numerous hardships and dangerous situations, even encountering life-threatening moments. Yet, her determination to continue her mission has remained unwavering. Her goal is to eventually visit all countries of the world, completing a journey that has already become a historic achievement for Bangladesh.
Throughout her travels, Najmun Nahar has consistently carried powerful global messages: “No War, Only Peace,” “Save the Planet,” and “Stop Child Marriage.” By sharing these messages across cultures and communities, she has used her journey not only as an adventure but also as a platform for global peace, environmental awareness, and social change.

Her remarkable expedition is marked by several historic milestones. On June 1, 2018, she celebrated visiting her 100th country at the iconic Victoria Falls, located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. On October 6, 2021, she reached another milestone by visiting her 150th country, São Tomé and Príncipe. Later, on September 15, 2024, she completed travel to 175 countries, and in December 2025, she achieved the historic record of visiting 184 countries, marking the milestone in The Bahamas.
Beyond her travels, Najmun Nahar is a researcher, motivational speaker, and goodwill ambassador for several organizations. Through her journey, she inspires children and young people around the world to overcome limitations, dream boldly, and pursue their ambitions despite obstacles.
Her academic journey is equally inspiring. In 2006, she moved to Sweden on an educational scholarship and later earned a higher degree from Lund University. In 2015, she obtained another degree in Human Rights and Asia from Seoul National University in South Korea.

Born in Lakshmipur, Bangladesh, Najmun credits the greatest inspiration in her life to her father, grandfather, and books. Her travels also carry a deeply personal touch—she has explored 14 countries with her mother, making her global journey a family story as well.
By carrying the flag of Bangladesh across the world, Najmun Nahar has brought global attention to her homeland and elevated its presence on the international stage. Her journey has been filled with difficult roads, personal sacrifices, and moments of uncertainty, yet she has continued forward with resilience and courage.

In recognition of her commitment to spreading messages of peace during her solo travels, Najmun Nahar received the Peace Torch Bearer Award in the United States in 2019. Over the years, her extraordinary achievements have been honored with around 60 national and international awards.
Today, Najmun Nahar stands as a powerful symbol of courage, perseverance, and inspiration. Her journey across the world is not only a historic accomplishment for Bangladesh but also a timeless example for future generations, establishing her as one of World’s most inspiring women explorers.
