#Modi’s silence during his visit to Israel has taken away the sleep of Congress
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is constitutionally and morally accountable to the citizens of India. However, in matters concerning sensitive geopolitical tensions—such as those involving Iran, Israel, and the United States—strategic silence can sometimes be more powerful than immediate public articulation.
In international diplomacy, silence does not imply weakness; rather, it often reflects calculated restraint. A responsible government cannot disclose every strategic consideration at a moment when national interest and regional stability are at stake. The faith that a large majority of Indian citizens repose in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership stems from his consistent demonstration of decisive and nationally focused governance.
Iran, undeniably, has been navigating through deep internal and external crises. The passing of Ruhollah Khomeini marked a historical turning point decades ago, yet the socio-political struggles within the country have continued in various forms. It is equally a matter of historical record that, at different times, state actions in Iran have been accused of suppressing dissent with severity, leading to tragic consequences for many of its own citizens. Such chapters of history evoke global concern, irrespective of sectarian identity.
In this context, attempts by certain political actors within India to manufacture controversy around the Prime Minister’s diplomatic silence appear less like genuine concern and more like political opportunism. Foreign policy is not a stage for domestic theatrics; it is a domain requiring maturity, foresight, and discretion.
I also appreciate the forthright journalistic approach of Rubika Liaquet, who has articulated a clear perspective against narratives that may mislead the public. Responsible journalism demands courage—especially when confronting politically motivated distortion.
It is equally heartening to observe that many nationalist-minded Indian Muslims continue to uphold India’s unity and progress above divisive narratives. Their role reinforces the foundational truth that patriotism transcends religious identity. India’s strength lies precisely in this shared commitment to the nation.
In conclusion, I reiterate my appreciation for voices that stand firmly with clarity, national interest, and integrity. In complex geopolitical times, prudence is not silence—it is strategy.
Dhanyabad.
