Misconduct Allegation Raised Against Jai Sai Roadlinks Crew; Kochi Passenger Files Complaint
Kochi: A passenger from Kochi has raised serious allegations against the crew of a private interstate bus operated by Jai Sai Roadlinks following an incident that reportedly occurred on February 28 during the BLR–KOLLAM service (Bus No: AR01Y5777) from Bangalore to Vytilla, Kochi.
According to the complaint, the issue began when the Kochi-based passenger, who was unfamiliar with the boarding location in Bangalore, contacted the bus driver to confirm the exact pickup point. Instead of receiving clear guidance, he alleges that he was spoken to in a rude and aggressive manner. The passenger claims that basic assistance regarding the boarding point was not provided and that the interaction caused significant distress.
The complainant has further alleged that there was suspicion the driver might have been under the influence of alcohol during duty hours. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding this claim.
The situation reportedly escalated when concerns were raised with the bus staff. The passenger alleges that instead of addressing the issue responsibly, a staff member responded dismissively and suggested filing a case if there was a problem.
Additionally, another Malayali passenger travelling on the same bus, who reportedly had physical discomfort after being involved in a nearby accident near the boarding point, was allegedly treated insensitively by the crew despite informing them about his condition.
The complaint has been formally submitted to the company management and forwarded to concerned authorities for review. As of now, Jai Sai Roadlinks has not issued an official statement regarding the allegations.
The incident has triggered discussion in Kochi regarding passenger safety, driver accountability, and service standards in interstate private bus operations. Further developments are awaited.
