New State Bank of India Branch Inaugurated Virtually at Dullabcherra in Sribhumi District

On 27.02.2026 Friday, A new branch of State Bank of India has been inaugurated. This inauguration was part of the virtual launch of 18 new SBI branches opened simultaneously across the Northeast region.

The program was organized at SBI’s Local Head Office in Guwahati at 3:00 PM. The virtual inauguration was conducted by SBI Chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty.

The newly appointed Branch Manager of the Dullabcherra branch, Hitesh Devbarma, formally assumed charge. Several local dignitaries were also present on the occasion, including Member of Parliament Kripanath Mallah, Shubhan Das (Retired Tea Garden Manager), Debasish Sinha (Principal, CVP), Bijoy Shankar Dwivedi, Bhagya Singha (Social Worker), Angsuman Paul, and others.

The opening of the new branch is expected to strengthen banking services in Dullabcherra and surrounding areas. Local residents, traders, and farmers will now have access to modern banking facilities within their own region.

Officials stated that the launch of 18 new SBI branches across the Northeast is a significant step toward financial inclusion.
