If There Is No SIM In The Mobile, WhatsApp Will Not Work. -- Central Government's key Announcement


New Delhi, February 27, AIMA MEDIA NEWS : The Central government has made a key announcement on the messaging app WhatsApp. After the 28th of this month, WhatsApp will not work without a SIM. The Central government had earlier announced February 28 as the last date for the 'SIM is essential' rule that requires a SIM in the mobile to use WhatsApp. The Center has made it clear that this deadline will not be extended. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that these are being implemented for national security and to protect users from cyber criminals. According to the new rules, it is mandatory to have a SIM in the mobile phone to use social media like WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, Snapchat, ShareChat, JioChat, Aratai, Josh.

Similarly, WhatsApp logged in on a computer will also automatically log out after six hours. The central government has said that this system will be useful in catching cyber criminals. WhatsApp rules are also changing from March 1. Previously, even if the SIM was removed from the mobile, the WhatsApp app would work as usual. However, from March 1, the registered SIM must be in the mobile. Moreover, it must be active (i.e. recharged). Similarly, in the past, if WhatsApp was logged in on personal computers, it would remain active for any number of days. According to the new rule, it will automatically log out after six hours. Previously, people used to log in to WhatsApp using OTP from anywhere. Now WhatsApp will not work without a SIM.
