Principal lost his life at SBI Bank in Awantipora

The Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Aglar in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, Kailash Chander (55), passed away after collapsing at a branch of State Bank of India (SBI) in Awantipora on Tuesday, officials said.

According to officials, Chander suddenly lost consciousness inside the SBI branch. He was immediately shifted to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Awantipora and later referred to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.

However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.

Preliminary reports suggest that he collapsed while present inside the bank premises. Further details regarding the incident are awaited.
