Youth Congress Protest March Foiled in Srinagar.

Srinagar 23-Feb: The Youth wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), under the leadership of Youth President Srinagar Yasir Mandoo, today attempted to march from the JKPCC office at M.A. Road, Srinagar, towards the office of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as part of a planned protest.

Youth leaders and workers had assembled at the party office at 2:30 PM following a call for a peaceful “BJP Office Gherao.” However, police personnel prevented the march from proceeding and stopped youth leaders and workers at the PCC office premises.

Speaking on the occasion, Youth President Yasir Mandoo alleged that the administration acted in a partisan manner. He stated that while the administration has previously facilitated the BJP in reaching its office without hindrance, similar cooperation was not extended to the Youth Congress during their peaceful protest. He further alleged that the BJP has compromised the importance of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and placed personal interests above national interest.

Senior Youth leader Dr. Waleed Karra also addressed the gathering and criticized the BJP over what he described as a recent “shame” at an AI Summit, claiming that the incident had brought embarrassment to the nation. He alleged that such actions reflect a pattern of conduct by the BJP that undermines national dignity.

Despite being stopped by the police, Youth Congress leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continue raising issues they described as being in the public and national interest through democratic and peaceful means.

Among those present on the occasion were Er. Basharat Bashir, Mohammad Shafi, Saqib Sultan, Syed Iqbal, Mujtaba Dewan, , Owais Ahmad, Sameer Bhat, Mussadiq Mehraj Fayaz Ahmad Mir, , Er. Wasim Yaseen, Inam Ul Aziz, Youth Diatrict President Shopian, Mr. Umar and District several other youth leaders and workers.
