Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament Successfully Organised in Malda Railway Division

Under the guidance of Shri Manish Kumar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Malda, Malda Division successfully organised an Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament for staff members on 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd February 2026.

The tournament aimed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and leadership among employees while encouraging active participation beyond routine official duties. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various departments and featured closely contested matches.

After a series of competitive games, the Electrical Department emerged as the Champions , while the Operating Department secured the Runner-up position. The winning and runner-up teams were felicitated with trophies in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Individual awards including Man of the Tournament, Best Bowler, and Best Batsman were presented to deserving players. Medals were also distributed to all participants of the final match in appreciation of their sportsmanship and dedication.

The tournament also included team drills and skill-based activities that fostered coordination, strategic thinking, and camaraderie among staff members.

Senior branch officers of the division were present during the event, underscoring the division’s commitment to employee welfare and the promotion of a positive and engaging work culture.
