When Hazrat Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiar (ق) passed away, there was a lot of grief. The funeral was prepared and brought to a large field. A large number of people had come to offer funeral prayers.

There was a sea of ​​people as far as the eye could see. When it was time to recite the funeral, a man came forward and said I am the lawyer of Khuwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki (ق).

Hazrat (ق) had made a will. I want to convey that message to this congregation. There was a noise in the crowd. The lawyer called out.

Hazrat Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiar (ق) has bequeathed that my funeral should be performed by a person who has 4 virtues.

1. In his life, his takbeer has never been missed [in congregation prayer]

2. His Tahajud prayer has never been missed.

3. He never cast a bad eye on a non-Muharram.

4. He is so worshipful that he has never left the sunnah.

A person who has these 4 qualities should lead my funeral.

When this was told, the crowd was filled with a sensation. A long time passed, and no one stepped forward.

Finally, a person came near the funeral of Hazrat Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki (ق) crying. Picked up the cloak from the funeral and said: Hazrat! You yourself died but revealed my secret.

After that, in front of the full congregation, I swore that I have all these 4 qualities in me knowing that Allah is present and watching. This person was the king of the time, Sultan Shamsuddin Iltutmish.
