400 Underprivileged Residents Receive Free Medical Check-up at Pathra Camp

Bodhgaya: Around 400 underprivileged residents benefitted from a free medical check-up camp organised on Sunday at the campus of Tara Helping Education Society in Pathra village under Bodhgaya block. The camp provided comprehensive health screenings, including blood pressure, blood sugar and thyroid tests, along with consultations for ailments such as pneumonia, joint pain, fever and seasonal cold. Free medicines were distributed to all patients requiring treatment. Society president Rajesh Kumar Verma said that the organisation conducts annual health camps and awareness drives in rural areas where timely diagnosis and medical consultation are often inaccessible. “Due to the lack of proper health facilities, minor illnesses frequently turn serious. Through such camps, we aim to provide treatment as well as spread awareness about preventive healthcare,” he said. A team of local doctors Dr Sanjay Kumar, Dr Manoj Kumar, Dr Ravi Kumar and Dr Chhotu Kumar examined patients and offered medical advice during the camp. The initiative drew participation from residents of several nearby villages, including Pathra, Pathalgarh, Gohati, Ghanta Deeh, Satgharwa, Mirchihar and Sheikhwara. From early morning, a large number of women, men, elderly residents and children gathered at the venue, turning the society premises into a bustling health service centre for the day. Among those present at the camp were Sangita Kumari Verma, Sumit Kumar, Vikas Kumar, Munna Kumar Yadav, Reena Sharma, Sanjana Raj, Indrajeet Kumar, Pinki Kumari and Beauty Kumari, who assisted in organising and managing the event. The camp was widely appreciated by villagers, many of whom expressed gratitude for the timely and accessible healthcare support.
