The Delhi Police has issued an extensive traffic advisory for the India AI Impact Summit 2026

The Delhi Police has issued an extensive traffic advisory for the India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled from February 16 to 20 at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan. Due to the expected arrival of global leaders and ministers, several roads in New Delhi and Lutyens' Delhi will face regulated movement and diversions.
Key Traffic Restrictions and Restricted Zones
The following stretches will be under tight control, with general vehicle entry curtailed during VVIP movements:
Restricted Roads: Mathura Road (between Subramania Bharti Marg T-Point and Dr. Dinesh Nandini Dalmia Chowk) and Bhairon Marg (excluding the Ring Road T-Point).
Regulated Roads: Expect slow traffic or temporary diversions on major routes including Janpath, Akbar Road, Sardar Patel Marg, Kartavya Path, Shanti Path, and the Outer Circle of Connaught Place.
Interstate Traffic: Heavy vehicles and non-Delhi bound traffic will be diverted toward the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways.
Commuter Advisories
Airport and Railway Travel: Passengers heading to IGI Airport or railway stations are advised to leave early and factor in extra travel time. The Delhi Police recommends using the Delhi Metro as a reliable alternative, as it will remain unaffected by the summit.
CBSE Board Exams: As the summit coincides with the start of CBSE board exams on February 17, the Delhi Police has deployed nodal officers at schools on key routes to assist students and staff in reaching examination centres on time.
North-South Corridor: A major corridor via Ring Road (Ashram Chowk – Raj Ghat – ISBT Kashmiri Gate – Azadpur – Dhaula Kuan – AIIMS) will remain restriction-free for general cross-city movement.
