Important Update for Physiotherapy Aspirants (BPT Admission 2026–27) As per Corrigendum-1 dated 27 January 2026 issued by the NCAHP
As per Corrigendum-1 dated 27 January 2026 issued by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP), New Delhi, a major change has been made in the eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT). #NEET (UG) is Now Mandatory for BPT Admission (2026–27 onwards) 🔹 In the revised Para 4.3.1.2 (Page 43) of NCAHP Physiotherapy Curriculum, it is clearly stated: “The candidate must have appeared in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by NTA for the academic year.” 🔹 Further, Para 4.3.1.3 mentions: Admission shall be based on NEET marks/merit. No minimum qualifying percentile is required for application. #Key_Points • NEET (UG) appearance is compulsory • Admission will be based on NEET merit • No separate entrance exam •50% PCB required (40% for reserved categories as applicable) • Applicable from Academic Session 2026–27 This clarification is officially notified under the NCAHP Act, 2021 and is binding on institutions offering BPT across India. All students aspiring for Physiotherapy must prepare accordingly and ensure they appear in NEET (UG) 2026.
