Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, successfully organized a week-long academic engagement programme under the banner of "Open Paathshala", an innovative initiative envisioned by Shri Abhishek Sharma, IAS, Registrar, BGSBU and supported by the Professor Jawaid Iqbal, Honourable Vice Chancellor, BGSBU.

Professor Jawaid Iqbal, Vice Chancellor lauded the collaborative efforts of faculty and students in making the programme a success and emphasized the university's vision of nurturing socially responsible and environmentally conscious graduates.

Shri Abhishek Sharma, IAS, Registrar BGSBU, reiterated that the Open Paathshala initiative is expected to attract students from the region by showcasing the vibrant academic environment and state-of-the-art facilities available at BGSBU. By providing early exposure to laboratories, research spaces, and interactive learning platforms, the programme seeks to motivate young learners to develop an interest in higher education and pursue academic excellence.

The initiative aimed at transforming conventional classroom learning into a more interactive, experiential, and student-centric model by utilizing the university campus as a living laboratory. As part of this outreach-driven initiative, students from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Rajouri, from Classes III to XII, visited the university campus over the course of one week. The programme was designed to provide young learners with early exposure to higher education institutions, scientific laboratories, and experiential learning environments.
