Bridge over Singla River Collapses in Sribhumi; Several Injured

​Sribhumi, Feb 12: A major disaster was reported on Wednesday morning, February 11, 2026, when a bridge over the Singla River at Anipur Bazar collapsed. The incident occurred on the Asimganj–Anipur road while two trucks, heavily loaded with soil, were crossing the structure.
​According to officials, the bridge failed to sustain the weight, leading to the collapse. At least four other vehicles were trapped in the debris, and several people sustained injuries. Local authorities rushed to the spot for rescue operations. Traffic in the Ramkrishnanagar area remains completely disrupted. Further investigation into the structural failure is underway.
