Kerala Chief Electoral Officer Ratan U.Kelkar visited Edamalakkudi, the state’s first tribal panchayat in Munnar, to review Special Intensive Revision (SIR) progress ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. He said that the SIR-related proceedings in the tribal area will be finished by February 14, and the final voter list is set to be published on February 21.

The CEO added that the voters who need to include their names or make changes to the list should contact the Booth Level Officer or Electoral Registration Officer. Names can be added to the list until a day before the final date for submitting nomination papers for the assembly elections.

Mr Kelkar further said that the SIR hearing process has already been completed in 64 assembly constituencies across the State.
